These matte black door knobs look beautiful. The style is unique and appears very high end. They feel good in your hand. I haven't installed them yet so I cannot speak to that. Can't wait to see them on my doors.
I didn’t receive the plate on top of the holder and it also looks like the wrong colour. I sent an email But got no response.
Absolutely brutal product from begining to end. From the website descriptions, to the instructions, so the solutions and material quality. 0/10, would be less if possible.

I was so impressed with the quality of this hardware. It's very heavy duty and the finish looks perfect. I haven't been able to see the longevity of the gold finish, however the quality is the best I've seen yet.
I’m giving these a FOUR star because the only thing that I was unhappy about is the shade of gold. It’s much more yellow in person than what is displayed on the website. They are heavy duty and beautiful but I’m not sure yet if they will go with the rest of the brass/gold I have planned for our new construction build. I was looking for a brass/gold that looks like the photos on the website so to get a different shade of gold was extremely disappointing after spending $500 and having it shipped so far. I’m not sure if I should return them yet because we are far from installing them. Our millworkers needed these ahead of time to make our doors so the hardware fits. My recommendation to Explore Hardware is to post New photos of what the color looks like in the daylight/sun. Or come out with the gold/brass shade that is portrayed in the photos.
The quality of these closet door handles is excellent! The design itself is very modern and different than what is available in the big box stores. Plus from a Canadian company! I had a challenge of installing these on pre-existing doors with the holes already drilled. Well, the holes were too big and we didn't want to change the position. Customer service went the extra mile, checked for longer screws and provided us with a solution to use plugs. It worked!
We searched high and low for the right shade of brass and these hinges exceeded our expectation. Solid build - you can feel the quality. Much more substantial compared to the ones we replaced. Delivered faster than estimated.
I got the privacy version and I like the quality. The handles are quite heavy. The springs support them well, and I hope that will last. There's not much play in the handles. Night and day from anything you'll find at home depot, which are all sloppy junk. The privacy lock works well, auto-unlocks from the inside, everything you'd want. Has a positive detent, doesn't lock on its own, like many China special door handles I looked at, which don't have a positive detent. The latch/tongue work smoothly. The tongue has really sharp edges. Not sure why they designed it that way.
There's also a crazy trick with the tongue that's not explained at all in the instructions! The way to change the orientation of the tongue (for a door that opens towards the outside) is to PULL OUT on the tongue, which is spring loaded, and spin it around.
In short, the quality of these door levers is night and day compared to anything you'll find locally. There are some Chinese handles that are finished well, and have little play, but their latches and locking mechanisms are junk. I couldn't find fault in these. They seem closer in quality to something like Emtek (which can have at least as much play, or more, from what I've seen in store).
