Works well, looks Good but….

The handle set works as described and looks great on the door.

My issues….
- locking function of the lock is sloppy. The strike box (mounts opposite the door) has two parts. Only one touches the actual latch (locking portion) when engaged. As such, the door has 1/4” play. This is a LOT when it comes to locks. When used on a bathroom, you need to factor this in to avoid peeping holes 1/4” wide.
- as a locksmith, most other locks I’ve ordered come with paper drilling templates - or their company creates a jig to sell. In this case, the lock only comes with measurements. This makes transferring to the door extra work. With this lock requiring a mortise fit, this can add up quickly as this is one the more difficult locks to do it right. Also, some of the measurements are metric, and some imperial - please make up your mind….
- overall tolerances of this lock make it a lower end hardware choice. It will look great (so better than cheap cheap options) but not worth $200. This is a $60 lock. If slightly modified, include templates and better executed, this could easily sell for $200 and be worth the value.

All in all, this can work as a great lock. I would recommend it for the DIY person who has A LOT of Time to install this. As a business, I could have bought the EMTEK competitors model at 2-3 times the price and still been cheaper for the customer.
